I don't know of anything but the standard remover as it contains acetone which does the trick. You can buy just acetone.Is there any substance that removes nail polish other than the standard remover ?

Facial astringent will do the job, but that's not very natural....rubbing alcohol, gasoline, paint thinner, all of that will do it.
Depending on where the stain is and on what material, rubbing alcohol, bleach, or even oven cleaner can be useful.
