Removing nail polish from a T-Shirt?

Ok....so I spilled bright blue nail polish on my favorite shirt that I just recently received as a Christmas present, and it's a black shirt. We've already tried nail polish remover, and then a spray that removes stains kind of like Shout (but for colors), and put it in the wash. Someone put in in the dryer, and now I'm not sure if the stain will ever come out, I'm afraid it's been baked in, since the stain is *still* there. Is there still hope for my favorite black shirt? How can I remove the nail polish?Removing nail polish from a T-Shirt?
There is a fantastic product called Sol U Mel that will remove even permanent marker from most surfaces (I used it to remove 2 year old permanent marker from my kids' bathroom wall). You should do a spot check to make sure it doesn't remove the dye from the fabric. Best of all, it's environmentally safe.Removing nail polish from a T-Shirt?
Give this a try - it's from an article on tough stains from the Scott Common Sense Community

';When your favorite fire engine red polish takes a spill, it can produce quite a scare! But to make sure you only show off the color on your nails, apply nail polish remover to the stain and lightly blot the stain with dry paper towels. An important caution: Make sure to test the nail polish remover on an inconspicuous area of your clothing, furniture or carpet to make sure the item is colorfast. Next, apply dishwashing or laundry detergent mixed with warm water to remove any residual tint. If the stain remains, you may also want to try a 50-50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Apply it to the stain, gently blotting, until it vanishes completely.';
