How to remove dried nail polish stain from carpet?

I've already gotten most of the actual polish out, but it's still kinda pink. (It's a light brown carpet, bright pink polish). How to remove dried nail polish stain from carpet?
Spray a small amount of WD-40 on the spot and rub lightly until spot is removed, then clean area with some dishwashing detergent and warm water then rinse; do not soak carpet with warm water and blot until dry Good Luck !How to remove dried nail polish stain from carpet?
Moisten the area with hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 30 minutes. Keep applying the hydrogen peroxide until the stain is completely removed. Then blot with paper towel to remove excess moisture!

Test for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area like a closet before trying this method!

Edit: since you already have most of the stain up, i'd try peroxide first, before trying nail polish remover, as nail polish remover can be much more damaging - it can remove the latex backing on the carpet!
My daughter spilled nail polish on her carpet, and she tried using nail polish remover, then peroxide and now we have a huge bleached out mark on her carpet....I am going to attempt the WD40, because the other options ruined her carpet and never got the nail polish out :-( And I am going to have to dye the carpet back to its normal color.
Have you tried:

nail polish remover

or

peroxide?
